"Just Another Day in Paradise!": Reflections on St. Bernard Parish's recovery from Hurricane Katrina in 2006
$17.24
The only parish (county) in the United States to ever be completely destroyed by a natural disaster is St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana during Katrina. Recovery from that devastation was long and difficult. This work is a real-time account by a participant during that recovery process. Struggling with the difficulties and reflecting on some of the humorous episodes, the author employed the devices of a play and poetry to portray the real events as they unfolded.
